MS Foundation School Teachers

The School is also supported by many voluntary workers from the community, who give their time freely.

All subjects are taught in Telugu, but English is part of the curriculum in all schools in India because it is the most commonly used language in business, government, railway/air travel and all service industries.

In order to help the school we have a 'mentoring project' which uses spoken exchanges through SKYPE between the school teachers and retired TEFL teachers - members of 'The University of the Third Age' - in Australia, South Africa and England.

Currently we are using two of the school's wall-charts as subject matter for discussion: you can click on FOOD and FRUIT to see those charts.

We have been given some old benches that we can use for desks for the smaller children. Here is a roof-top lesson. Older children in Fahima's class (right) still sit on the floor in their classroom.
